Peridot is the birthstone for the month of August. Peridot brings good luck, peace, and success. Peridot color varies from yellow green through olive green to brownish green. Although the basic color is olivine. This mineral is found in Arizona, Nevada. Hawaii, Brazil,China, US, New Mexico, Myanmar, Srilanka, Southafrica, Kenya, Australia, Pakistan, Norway, North Carolina, Mexico, Tanzania.

Here you have a choice of adding your Peridot pendant to the Peridot beads, or adding it to a leather chord of your choice, or even to a chain to finish the necklace.

To celebrate India’s Independence day i.e August 15th how about we make a beaded national flag of India?
You can make the flag pattern with safety pins or 2” head pins and size 8 beads with the tri-color Orange, White and Green and Dark blue for the chakra in the middle.

Method: Bead the size 8 beadsin the following pattern in the safety pins You need 13 head pins. Out of which you will bead the pattern of 4 orange 5white and 4 green color beads in 10 pins which is going to be on either sides equally. In remaining 3 head pins the pattern is:4orange,2white,2blue,2white and 4green color. Next will be
4orange, 1 white ,3 blue ,1 white ,and 4 green color. Then
4 orange , 2 white, 2 blue, 2 white and 4 green color. This 3 head pins is going to be the middle in between the 10 pins i.e five pins on either sides.
Since it is a simple project I hope you can finish it.

The third picture you see is again the national flag of India The tri-color and the chakra is done with the right angle weave combination of Swarovski crystals & Pearls. The Tri-color has to be weaved with an equal count in order to finish the pattern of the flag.
Materials used here are the Tri-color beads orange, white green and blue for the Chakra, Fireline weaving chord and size 10 needle.
I hope you enjoyed the project.

Happy Beading and Happy Independence Day
