The joy of beading and the peace you get in creating a piece is priceless. It is so relaxing that you forget everything. It keeps you focused and free of stress. Emerald is the birthstone of the month. Emerald brings good luck and well being. It is found in the shades of green and bluish green. The green color is due to the chromium impurities. Emerald found in Muzo, Columbia is called "Trapiche emerald “due to the star shaped rays from the center of the gem in a hexagonal pattern. Emerald is also found in Brazil and Zambia.

Everybody likes to match their jewelry piece with their outfits. How about the watch you wear? Have you ever thought of changing the watchbands to go with your outfits? What a neat idea! It can be inexpensive too.

Materials Needed:
8” Elastic cord or a soft flex beading wire.
6 mm color beads of your choice (Emerald for May)
2 Lobster clasps (gold or silver)
2 Jump rings
1 Watch face & 2 crimp beads (gold or silver)
Silver or gold spacer beads if you like.
String the beads on the elastic cord or on a flexible beading wire. Finish the bracelet with a crimping bead to secure one end and adding a lobster clasp to it. Similarly secure the other end with a crimping bead and the lobster clasp. Add a jump ring on each side of the watch face. You can now clip the clasp to the jump ring on each side. You have created a unique piece of watch band bracelet that matches with your outfit.

Here is a small beautiful poem that caught my attention from an unknown author at the site: http://www.mothers.net/asilookback.htm

As I Look Back

As I look back on my life
I find myself wondering.....
Did I remember to thank you
for all that you have done for me?
For all of the times you were by my side
to help me celebrate my successes
and accept my defeats?
Or for teaching me the value of hard work,
good judgment, courage, and honesty?
I wonder if I've ever thanked you for the simple things...
The laughter, smiles, and quiet times we've shared?
If I have forgotten to express my gratitude
For any of these things,
I am thanking you now....
and I am hoping that you've known all along,
how very much you are loved and appreciated.

I hope you enjoyed the Watchband bracelet and as well as the poem too.
Happy Mother’s Day and Happy Beading too!!!
