If you must cover your bump, dab concealer right on top of it with a cotton swab or a clean cosmetics brush. Let it dry a bit; then smooth out the sides. Don't rub the area; it will only get more irritated and red. The less makeup you use, the better. Once the concealer is dry, set it with loose powder and fluffy brush.

If your neck is a completely different color from your face, you are wearing mismatched foundation. A different shade of foundation isn’t going to make you look gloriously tanned or porcelain-skinned (whichever look you’re going for); it will only make your face look dirty. Do yourself a favor and get thee to a MAC or Prescriptives counter, or to L’Oreal Perfect Match at your nearest drugstore and find your perfect shade of foundation!

The most flattering eyebrow color is a shade lighter than the darkest part of your hair. Don't go more extreme than that. If your hair is blonde and your brows are shoe-polish black, you'll look like Madonna in her ‘True Blue’ phase, way back in 1986. Even she couldn’t pull that look off for very long!

Pretending to be Tammy Faye Messner... really, if your eyelashes look like runaway spiders, you’ve overdone the mascara. Eyelashes are delicate, and should accentuate the shape of your eyes, not overwhelm them. Caked, dried, clumpy mascara can actually make lashes fall out, so keep it feather-light, and change the bottle every three months. If you want high-impact, DiorShow Mascara amps up the voltage without the flaking and clumping.

If you look like you’ve been drinking hot chocolate all day, and you haven’t actually been, then chances are that your lip liner seriously needs to lighten up! Dark, dark lip liner went out of style so long ago, that I’m not sure it was ever really in! Get something that matches the color of your lips – it’ll make your mouth pretty, and keep your lipstick on longer. MAC Spice looks good on everyone.
