Karnataka CM, Sudha Murthy and Host Of Celebrities To Attend World Kannada Conference

Association of Kannada Kootas of America (AKKA) and its charter member Nrupathunga Kannada Koota of Atlanta have joined hands to present the “7th AKKA World Kannada Conference”, the biennial grand three day cultural extravaganza at the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) from August 31 – September 2, 2012.
The much awaited AKKA conference of 2012 is pleased to inform everyone that the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri. Sadananda Gowda, has accepted invitation to inaugurate the event. Govind M.Karjol, Kannada & Culture Minister, R. Ashok, Home and Transportation Minister and C.M.Udasi, Karnataka Public Works Minister have also accepted invitation from AKKA to be part of WKC 2012. Jnanpith award winner Dr. Chandrashekhar Kambara will be one of the distinguished guests at WKC 2012. Smt. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and member of public healthcare initiative of the Gates Foundation will also grace the event.
Sri Vidyabhushana’s devotional renditions also await the audience. Swami Nirbhayananda Saraswathi, President of Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Ashrama, Gadag & Bijapur, Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, Founder President of STJ education society and current seer of Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath have accepted invitation to participate in AKKA 2012 festivities.
The star studded event also features popular southern entertainers Puneeth Rajkumar, Raghavendra Rajkumar, Digant, Yogi, Yash, Radhika Pandit, Aindrita Roy, Nidhi Subbiah, Priyamani, Comedians Rangayana Raghu and Sadhu Kokila, Musicians GuruKiran, HariKrishna, and Choreographer Imran, who have tentatively accepted invitation from AKKA to enthrall the audience to a spellbinding performance.Raghu Dixit Project will be one of highlights of this event.
