InStyle 2004 a fun-filled family entertainment show produced by Salman Molu with InStyle Productions was presented on September 21, 2004 at the Gwinnett Civic Center. Salman (Sonny) a computer engineer and CEO of Compubiz-iLink Professional, established both InStyle Productions and Silent Killers Dance Mania, a well known Atlanta based performance group. Sonny aspires to unite the South Asian community via the path of entertainment, enjoyment and excitement.

The evening started off with an energetic and lively dance by co-host Shezi Sardar. This was followed by a classical fusion dance by Meghna Nagarajan (Ms. India USA 2003) and Movina Nagarajan (Ms. Teen India USA 2004) set to the tune A R Rehman’s ‘Dhol Dhol’ from Yuva.

Silent Killers Dance Mania brought the crowd to their feet with the next item – Masti, an item set to medley of songs from current Bollywood movies. This item was choreographed by Prem Rehman, a choreographer and dancer par excellence. His troupe of dancers include young, hardworking and talented artists from different spheres of life all with the hope of keeping their culture alive and successfully too. Several artists from this troupe were also part of a recurring comedy skit.

A Fashion Show by Maya Creations, also choreographed by Rehman followed. This part of the show also included live singing by Shahid Shaikh, garba by a local group and a dance full of action and acrobat performed by the youngest members of Silent Killers.

The second part of the show started with a comedy skit by the co-founders of Silent Killers Molu and Rehman which also introduced the emcee for the second half – Parijat Chandra.

The second half of this show started with more live singing by Shaikh and was followed by a very well choreographed dance item by Vandana Aggarwal (Ms. Teen India GA 2003). This dance, a fusion item set to the song “Man Mohini” from the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam won Vandana the first place in the talent segment of Ms. Teen India US 2004.

Silent Killers Dance Mania followed with another killer item titled – “Main Hoon Na” a medley of songs from the movie of the same name and a phrase regularly used by Prem to pacify panic-striken dancers. This item was followed by a kathak based semi-classical dance performance by the very talented Samta Savla and choreographed by Kumud Savla.

Salima Jumani and Sonny Molu choreographed the second part of the fashion show by Maya Creations which lead to the Grand Finale item – Aaja Ve Mahi. This was the highlight of the show which included all the dancers of Silent Killers and opened the floor up to the audiences to join them.

Here’s looking forward to more masti, mazak, naach, gana from the group.
