Naach Revolution Dance Extravaganza on May 20th

AUM will be presenting a state-of-the-art dance extravaganza NAACH REVOLUTION to heighten awareness for Indian performing arts through a variety of dance forms and felicitate participating choreographers. It is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 7 pm onwards at Nicholas Music Center, Rutgers campus, New Brunswick, NJ.


With this event, AUM aspires to pay tribute to all CHOREOGRAPHERS who are dedicated toward the promotion of Indian dance and culture by inculcating rich traditions in our youth, says a press release.

“All choreographers who devote their precious time, energy and resources in teaching classical and contemporary Indian dance forms are indeed winners and duly deserve recognition. We feel strongly about them since their contribution has gone unappreciated for their continued hard work, endless creativity and spectacular performances time and again,” says the release.

“We acknowledge the significance of all deliverance from such choreographers that lead to making dance and cultural events highly successful and greatly value their efforts. We believe that their recognition and appreciation for originality, grace and excellence brought on stage to the art while educating and inspiring our younger generation should always be rewarded,” it adds.

NAACH REVOLUTION promises to offer professional auditorium with digitized lights and sound, celebrity chief guest, popular master of ceremony, photography, video, security, ushers and volunteers to present a high quality show.

Participation is by invitation only. Well Known choreographers of New Jersey viz Archana Joglekar, Akshar Sidana, Bina Shah, Divya Jain, Kunjal Patel, Madhavi & Pratik Devasthale, Meena Basu Nag, Rita Sharma, Smita Miki Patel, Sudha Grover, Sudha Shekhar, Sujata Bagde and others will present the best dance performances by their renowned group.

Miss World Yukta Mookhey has agreed to grace the occasion as the chief guest and felicitate the participating choreographers. She is flying specially from Bombay India for this event.

A well known Bollywood playback singer Manisha Savla will be singing melodious songs from Hindi films mesmerizing the attendees at large.
