Agnihotri selected as a finalist for 2013 Atlanta World Showcase and Governor’s International Awards

Atlanta, GA: Atlanta’s community leader Anurag “Ani” Agnihotri has been championing USA India Business relations for last 15 years. As founder and managing partner of the Atlanta-based USIBRC and Co-Chair of USA India based Summit (UIBS), Agnihotri is focused on helping Indian and U.S. companies pursue new opportunities and excel in a globalized world.

Because of his sustained efforts, he was a selected as finalist in the Individual of the Year category for Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2013 Governor’s International Awards held in partnership with World Trade Center Atlanta. Other two individuals selected in this category were; John Eaves, Chairman of the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and R. Mason Cargill, Partner of global law firm Jones Day. John Eaves was honored as winner in this category at an impressive dinner on Oct 3rd at the Georgia International Convention Center.

Agnihotri has been working with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Metro Atlanta Chamber and Georgia’s educational institutions to develop business relationships. “For his path breaking ground-level work, the government of the state of Karnataka, India, recognized him in February 2013 and a MOU (memorandum of understanding) was signed between the states of Georgia, USA, and Karnataka, India. In his long and successful career as a business manager, strategist, and  USA India consultant, Agnihotri has advised a number of organizations and successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Ani Agnihotri was instrumental in starting UIBS and India’s Supply Conference (ISCMOC) in with partnership with [the] Georgia Tech Center for Business Education and Research (CIBER). The fourth annual USA India Business Summit has just concluded successfully. UIBS is positively the largest conference in the southeast USA that promotes business relations between USA and India. The 2013 event drew 370 people including keynote speaker Hon. Sam Pitroda, Adviser to Prime Minister of India, Public Information Infrastructure & Innovations (PIII), Hon. Ajit Kumar, Consul General of India, Mr. Tom Croteau, Deputy Commissioner, Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), Dr. Yves Berthelot, Vice Provost, Georgia Tech, Mr. Eddie Capel, President and CEO, Manhattan Associates, Mr. Anil Menon, President, Smart+Connected Communities and Deputy Chief Globalization Officer, CISCO and Mr. Rahul Kumar, Managing Director, Amul Dairy, INDIA.
