Dream Wedding Lehengas

BY RANI SHARMA

Wedding shopping can be a stressful affair what with the number of rituals spread across many days. But the bride wants to look her best for her once in a lifetime experience, and probably wants a different look for each occasion. Luckily- styles, cuts and the range of bridal lehengas available in the market have expanded considerably in the past few years.

Here we look at a few lehengas from the Raneez Boutique collection.

Cut-work lace lehenga in orange and hot pink. The lehenga is cut in mermaid style. The lining is pure silk or satin fabric. The lehenga has a gota border at the bottom which is finished with swarovski crystals. The hot pink blouse has a sweet-heart neck and a deep cut back. The dupatta is pink chiffon with a four-side border in orange with gota trim work. The lace is always nude, while the colors of the lining and the blouse and dupatta can be experimented with. The fabric tussles in the lehenga and the dupatta add to the attraction of the ensemble.

Make-up and accessories: Pair diamond jewelry and let your hair down. Keep your makeup light and let your hot pink lips be the focal point.

Flared gold lehenga- This outfit is perfect for the mehndi or the rehearsal dinner. The fabric is glitzy; often foil silk is used. Broad borders add to the beauty of the dress. The sheer anarkali has a front embellished with mirrors and fine work in hot pink and green. A point worth noting is that mirror work is the big trend for 2015. The back and the long sleeves have sequence and net work. The dupatta has fabric tussles.

Make-up and accessories: Updoes go perfectly with this long flowing anarkali. And since the outfit has a closed-neck style, you need only subtle earrings and no other jewelry.

Bridal lehenga in hot pink: The net lehenga has a satin lining and is embellished with kundan motifs. This beautiful piece is full-paneled (with a total of 36 panels) with heavy contemporary work. The blouse has a broad neck and short sleeves so that the bride’s jewelry does not get camouflaged. The dupatta has heavy work.

Make-up and accessories: Full choker and kundan jewelry. Heavy makeup with green eyeshadow. Be liberal with the bronzer and brush makeup. Make an updo (juda) with your hair and pin it with hair accessories on one side. Carry a gold batwa.

Thanks for sharing this informative article. I liked the flared gold lehenga, however I prefer the designer lehenga more due to their elegant and modern look.
