Talking to NRI Pulse, Kamlesh said there are a million of reasons to participate in a beauty pageant. It is not only about beautiful hair and clothes and sashaying on the stage. She said, the biggest reason, is “when you see your own real beauty.”

Her reasons for participating in the pageant? To inspire women of all ages; to build her confidence and to make new friends.

“Pageants give you a whole new window of opportunities and open doors to modeling, acting, hosting, fundraising, performing etc,” Kamlesh added. “Remember, you define the crown. The crown doesn’t define you. Use the crown to do something good, something meaningful.”

“As the saying goes, you have got to be on it to win. If you don’t enter, your chances of winning is zero!!! So, have a go and see what happens- it could be your lucky day!” she said.
