Boston, MA: The inspiring and insightful presentation by Harry Aurora, Founder and CEO of iTutor Inc, at the prestigious Harvard India Conference in Boston on March 10, 2013 was uniformly appreciated.

While addressing the panel ‘Developing India’s Silicon Valley’ at the Harvard Business School, New York based online education pioneer said, “Boasting Nalanda and Taxila universities, ancient India was the world leader in education for many centuries before and after Christ. Today, as the country possesses the best talent and technology, it can become a leader again — certainly in online education– with proper training and understanding of the US market. It can then contribute to the educational material for the rest of the world, raising standards and creating jobs.”

India-born Harry Aurora has a vision for  iTutor.com to build it into a top notch platform of online education, “which can help students all over to excel and improve their academics without the limitation of geographical boundaries. We connect to educators using cutting edge technology for quality education.”

Specifically on the panel theme, ‘Developing India’s Silicon Valley’, Harry acknowledged the challenges facing the country. “India is globally known for its remote tech support, but can the country adapt to the software end of things with limited resources required for day to day operations and overabundant bureaucratic obstacles plaguing the business sector.” On the positive side, he told the panel moderated by Prof. Sunil Gupta, Head of Marketing Department, Harvard Business School, “But for one prepared to negotiate these problems, India remains one of the biggest markets to cater to.”

Mr. Aurora sees the global demand close to home at iTutor every day, as hundreds of outsourced educators apply for online tutoring jobs to teach iTutor’s US-based students. “We do not currently outsource our educators because of the vigorous common core standards that the US is implementing nationwide.  I am not ruling out the fact that Indian educators will teach iTutor’s US based K-12 students, because they will…  But they will need the proper training and educational development to align with the US common core before doing so,” he stated in his closing argument.

Harry Aurora was a proud featured speaker at the 10th annual Harvard India meet  with the overall theme of ‘India vs India: Local Strength or Global Growth’, organized by the Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School.  The weekend meet with over 600 attendees was host to ministers, ambassadors, foundation directors, and global entrepreneurs besides academics and students. Prominent among the speakers were Ajay Maken, India’s Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Sam Pitroda, Advisor to the Indian Prime Minister on Public Information Infrastructure,  Ashish Singh, Chairman and Founder of Bain India, and UTV Motion Pictures CEO and Disney Studios MD Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Harry felt honored to be able to highlight at the conference the bright future of online education, which has been cited in many US Department of Education case studies as being more effective than instruction in a traditional physical setting. “A prestigious platform like Harvard will spread the news all over and create awareness about the  importance of improving academics of every individual,” he said.

Last month,  Harry merged The ETutor Inc he founded with iTutor Inc he acquired, thus combining iTutor’s  decade of online tutoring experience with the premier online interactive whiteboard technology of TheETutor.com. He stated, “The new iTutor.com will shape history and play a pivotal role in the future framework of distance learning. With the right tools and experience iTutor.com will help students from anywhere in the world increase their grades, test scores, and spring them into the next phase of the educational experience, all while preparing them for the job market of the future.”

At the new iTutor.com, students can sign-up for free, after which they  are immersed in an online resource library that provides complete academic support in all subjects taught in a traditional K-12 classroom. From the students’ user interface they have the ability to schedule live tutoring sessions with certified and highly experienced educators and or play back their pre-recorded tutoring sessions for continued support. A comprehensive SAT course is also available on the students user interface. A free online tutoring session is available to all free sign-ups for a limited time.

Headquartered in New York, iTutor Inc. is a team of highly seasoned professionals who, with over a decade of experience, have created the premier online tutoring platform.
