Wrap Elegance Around Your Shoulders

Elegant, warm and slimming, nothing complements the cold weather better than black. Be it sarees or suits, back is the way to go during the winter months.
The perfect way to add a dash of color and vibrancy to your black outfit is to wrap an elegant shawl around your shoulders.

This season, shawls are available in the following styles.

It can as elaborate as you want it to be- with antique metallic, copper and sequence work. Velvet shawls look fab in deep colors like bottle green, maroon and purple. The pallu is usually broad in banarasi kathan. The shawl in lined with satin fabric.

Patchwork Pashmina: The elegant pashmina is enhanced with appliqué work and set with sea pearls.

Burma Embroidered Pashmina: The shawl is embroidered all over the body with fine, intense Burma work. Only the pallu gives away the color of the shawl.

Black & White:
The black shawl is set with sequins or crystals and white embroidery. A variation is off white embroidery on off white fabric.

Beige Family: These traditional shawls always belong to the beige family and are enhanced with ornate embroidery.

Kani Shawls: These shawls are weaved on a loom in with small eyeless bobbins with embroidery in historic weaves and colors.
